Can you see anything different in this picture of Stone?  Ok, besides the fact that his hair is getting WAY too long...You guessed it, no more diapers!!!  We potty trained Stone last weekend.   I must say, now that we are on this side of it, it wasn't that bad.  Let me give you the run down.  We decided to potty train him over Labor Day weekend since Doug would be home for 3 days.  We woke up Saturday morning, ate breakfast, and then put him in big boy underwear.  No more diapers for Stone!  I won't go into all the details, but let me just say that after having to wash the underwear we had at naptime, and going through 34 PAIRS, Doug and I were whipped.  Day 2 was much better with only 4 pairs.  It is a whole different set of rules now though for leaving the  house.  No more of me thinking I will just change him when I get somewhere.  It now takes an extra 10 minutes to get out the door after we go to the potty and get everything collected.  But we are done.

As you can see Stone is very creative.  He loves to eat a whole apple that I core.  He found a flashlight the other day and decided it made a great holder for his apple.  Now that's ingenuity!

Now for Little Miss...
Earlier today, I was laying on the floor playing with her and suddenly her tummy was completely off the ground and she was in a full pushup!!  She still isn't sitting on her own for long periods of time, but she sure is ready to be on the move.
The only way we can get her to sit is to hand her a toy to distract her.  Soon after I took this picture, she fell face first into my ankle bone.  Poor thing!!!  She cried for a little while and then was ready for a nap again.  All that exercise wore her out.

My Little Artist

Last week, we headed to A Little Artsy for playgroup.  The kids had a great time painting and playing with play-doh.  Stone looked so cute wearing the apron that went from his chin to his toes. He actually didn't get very messy, just his hands.  We are doing to frame some of his art and hang it in the study.

He really enjoyed playing with the play-doh and using cookie cutters to cut out shapes.  Here he is trying to share with Rowan.  What a good big brother!!

I can't wait to take him back soon and see what other creations he can come up with.
