We celebrated my birthday in December and had some leftover cake. I absolutely love cake. Well a few days after we celebrated, Stone had eaten a really good dinner, so he had a piece of cake. As you can see from the picture above, he REALLY enjoyed it. He was picking up his bowl trying to lick it clean. What a mess...
We really enjoyed Christmas this year. I can see that each year will get more and more special as Stone grows. I am excited to teach him that all the excitement is because we are celebrating the birth of our Savior. This was definitely a more eventful Christmas than last. He LOVED opening his presents, and each new toy would bring with it a 20 minute play session. :)
We went to the Christmas Eve service at our church and loved being reminded of why we celebrate each year. After church, we headed over to Nonnie's. It was snowing and super windy. We attempted to get some snow pictures, but as you can see Stone was more interested in his animal crackers.
I also attempted to get a picture of my guys before we left, but Stone wanted nothing to do with being held or taking a picture.
Christmas morning, we woke up at home. I made breakfast and Nonnie, Nana, Aunt Kim, and Uncle Wick headed over to eat and open presents. Stone didn't really know what was going on yet.
Happy boy in front of the fire.
Stone and MommyUncle Wick bought Stone a "bolf" (golf) set. Stone absolutely loves it and will run around the house with his clubs. We are still trying to teach him to keep the clubs on the ground. With some coaching he gets it.
Nana and Aunt Kim bought Stone a Cozy Coupe. He likes for Daddy to push him around the house in it. Lately he thinks it is hilarious to put his feet down while you are pushing him, so the car stops. He laughs and laughs at himself.
Later in the afternoon, we headed out to see the Tigert side of the family. I didn't take any pictures. I was all pictured out. Grandma and Granddad bought Stone a play kitchen, which he really enjoys playing at during the day. They also bought him his very own Home Depot play tools. He can now really help Daddy around the house.
We were truly blessed with a great Christmas with family. What a great way to celebrate the Christ came for each of us!!
